When a business wants to make a website, choosing the right web host as the base for the business has to be the best one….and the right one. Do these steps to avoid a costly mistake.
To pick the right web host, first figure out whether this will be a blog, personal or business website. Then research and get a list of web hosts out of preference. Once the preferred ones are chosen, take a look at the cost. How much are you willing to spend? How many pages are included? Do they contain additional features you are looking for? What about bandwidth and storage? Do I get a free domain name with the cost? Don’t forget to check out the technologies they offer (PHP, MySQL, etc.) and web statistics/analytics.
Now research the history of the web host. How long have they been in business? Are they known for good customer service? What do reviewers say about their reputation?
Finally, check out the contract. That includes terms of use, privacy policy, and so called “deals†(5.99 for the first year). Know what you are getting into before diving in.
Once that is set, sign up and start building your site.
